This program prepares you for entry-level work in carpentry and related trades and occupations (roofer, scaffolder, construction craft labourer, cabinet maker, insulator, glazier, interior systems mechanic, floor covering installer, painter and decorator). Be ready to work in four weeks!

Carpentry Basics provides an introduction to tools and equipment, hands-on skills development, a basic math review, drawing and blueprint reading, plus experience in framing, installing doors and windows, mixing concrete and dry walling and taping.

The WBF Workplace Culture Awareness© module is designed specifically to help women understand the expectations of the construction workplace and prepare women for that environment.
Funding is available depending on student eligibility. A WBF advisor will help you explore your options. This is an approved Integrated Training Program with the Province of Alberta.
