This program prepares you for entry-level work in carpentry and/or scaffolding. The scaffolding portion of this program will be taught by CLAC. Be ready to work in four weeks in an industry that is looking for workers today!

The program includes:
Carpentry Basics provides hands-on skills training in framing, dry walling, installing doors and windows, mixing concrete and other carpentry projects; as well as training in the role of a scaffolder, types and uses of frame scaffolds, foundation requirements, scaffold platforms, guardrails and ties. You will erect tower frames and a rolling tower.

The WBF Workplace Culture Awareness© module is designed specifically to help women understand the expectations of the construction workplace and prepare women for that environment.
Funding is available depending on student eligibility. A WBF advisor will help you explore your options. This is an approved Integrated Training Program with the Province of Alberta.
