Make a Bequest
A bequest allows you to support the work of the Women Building Futures beyond your lifetime while reducing your taxable estate. Through your will you can leave Women Building Futures a specific dollar amount, a specific asset, or a designated percentage of your estate. Each bequest is unique and, therefore, we strongly recommend donors seek professional advice from their legal and financial advisors when considering this kind of gift. Your lawyer will craft the will clause language to meet your needs, and your financial advisor will be able to advise you as to the most tax effective way to make this gift (e.g. whether through cash, securities, life insurance, etc.).
Charitable Remainder Trusts
If you have assets that you would consider gifting to the Women Building Futures in your will but would like to receive the income for life and the tax benefits today, a charitable trust arrangement may be the answer. YOUR DONATION will help WBF get women to work To transform lives by preparing women for success in Alberta’s construction sector through assessment, training, job placement and job retention support.
Create positive change, one woman at a time. And helping these women achieve economic independence through training and employment will help address Alberta’s skilled labor shortage.
Specifically, your donation to the She Works Fundraising campaign will help to complete the building, including 42 units of affordable housing for students; establish an endowment fund to support operating and maintenance costs; and to provide much needed scholarships for students.
