Established in 1998, WBF is a fully registered charity, governed by a volunteer board and staffed by a team of qualified trades people and program delivery professionals. WBF is passionate about its work in supporting women from all cultures to be successful contributors to their families and the community – and to the workplace.

Funding is provided through donations, tuition, fee-for-service contracts and grants. In addition, all revenues from The Fixit Chicks Inc.™, a subsidiary for-profit business, flow back into WBF to help offset training costs.

In an atmosphere of collaboration, respect, accountability and integrity, WBF strives to provide:

• Rigorous and successful screening and assessment process for potential students
• Training, workplace culture preparation and support that meets the needs of women and their employers
• Skilled and apprentice ready workers
