Angela Armstrong
Board Chair
Angela is the President of Prime Capital Group. Her key Skills are Entrepreneur, Leader, Business Mentor, Strategic Planning, Risk Management and Finance. Currently Angela is WBF Board Chair, and previous to that Chaired the Governance Committee.  She also sits on the Canadian Finance and Lease Association as a Director since 2009 and is currently the Broker Working Group Chair and Chair of the Women in Asset Finance Committee. She is an active community leader and contributor –  Angela became involved with WBF in March 2013.

Amanda Rosychuk
Vice Chair / Secretary
Amanda is the Senior Vice President, Drainage Services for EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR). She is a Professional engineer, MBA, with a background in engineering, construction, operations, IT, HR, and Public & Government Affairs.  Amanda’s prior board experience was on the Board of BOMA. Currently she is in on the WBF Board as well as Edmonton Waste Re-Solutions. Amanda became involved with WBF in September 2015.

Perri Sinal
Perri Skelton, CPA, CA
Audit Chair / Director
Dr. Perri Sinal-Skelton has 30 years of experience primarily in post-secondary education, NFP and regulated environments. Notable stops include service to NAIT in the role of Associate Dean at the JR Shaw School of Business, and CPA Alberta, where she was responsible for the CPA Life portfolio which included: Professional Development, Professional and Career Services, and Events for their over 28,000 members province wide. Perri continues to offer educational consulting services.

Joelle McLaren
Governance Chair / Director

Joelle owns and operates with her husband California Closets Alberta which is a  manufacturer & retailer of custom cabinetry.   In addition, Joelle currently is consulting with corporate office of California Closets Company Inc. assisting teams throughout North America to transition to centralize manufacturing, standardize operational procedures, processes and practises across the corporate owned stores to maximize and enhance the customer experience to their clients in the field.  Joelle’s key skills are Strategic Planning, Change Management & Team Building. Currently she is on the WBF Board.  Joelle became involved with WBF in September 2014.

Freddie Martinez
Freddie is the Director of Information Systems and CIO with the City of Spruce Grove.  His key skills are: Strategy, Leadership, Passion, and Commercial Awareness. In addition to being on the board for WBF, he is a board member for National CIO Association, his prior Board Experience: CIO Association Edmonton Chapter, Canadian Cloud Council, Senior Assisted Transportation Servers (SATS), and LIFT Drive Happiness. Freddie became involved with WBF in May 2018.

Jim Kanerva
Jim most recently, was the COO with Waiward Steel LP ending January 2018. He is creative, innovative, has a willingness to solve problems where no solutions exist today. Jim’s prior board experience was on NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Construction Engineering and Management, Management and Technical Board (U of A), Manufacturers Health and Safety Association and the Alberta Diabetes Foundation. Jim became involved with WBF in April 2018.

Julia Sproule
Julia Sproule
Julia obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in 2001 and her LL.B in 2005, both from the University of Alberta. She currently works as Corporate Counsel for Legal Aid Alberta and has a diversity of legal and management experience in private practice and in house counsel roles in government and oil and gas industry. Julia has been a proud member of the Board of Directors since March 2017 and also serves on the governance committee.

Kathy Anders
Kathy is an Account Executive with Foster Park Brokers in Edmonton. She has over 35 years’ experience in Risk Management & Commercial Insurance with a focus on the not for profit sector. In addition to being on the board for WBF, she a board member for On Site Placement and a founding member of the NPO Collective. Kathy became involved with WBF in March 2013.

Laura Lunt
Laura is the Vice President of External Affairs at Pembina Pipeline Corporation. Laura has 22 years of experience in engineering and team leadership in the oil and gas, and manufacturing. For the last 12 years, she has lead teams in the areas of land, aboriginal, regulatory/environment permitting, government relations and corporate communications. Laura became involved in WBF in 2013 - is a Director and a member of the Governance Committee.  She also sits as a Director on the Briar Hill Children’s Society Board.

Steve Cribb
Facilities Chair / Director
Steve is the President of SpruceLand Properties Inc. His key skills are Corporate Strategy, Executive Management, Finance and Real Estate Investment. Steve previously had non-profit board experience with the Bissell Centre and a number of service clubs. Currently he is in on the WBF Board as well as on the SpruceLand Properties Inc. Steve became involved with WBF in 2014.
