This program provides the practical and academic training required to become a Heavy Equipment Technician with the ultimate goal of obtaining a journeyman certificate. This industry supported education partnership provides high quality training in Fort McMurray through annual rotating work placements with employer sponsors.
Successful Fort McMurray program applicants are expected to live and work in Fort McMurray for all four years of their apprenticeship. There will not be an opportunity to attend training in Fort McMurray and live or work in another location during apprenticeship.
